“The indispensable
first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you
what”. BEN STEIN.
Early childhood programming always get in the way of what
you want. Inside of everyone is that
tiny seed of “you” that you were meant to become. Unfortunately, you may have
buried this seed in response to your parent, teachers, coaches, and other adult
role models as you were growing up. When you were a baby, you knew what you
wanted. You knew you were hungry. You spit out the food you didn’t like and
avidly devoured the ones that you did.
As you were growing older, you crawled around and moved
toward whatever held interest to you. You were clear what you wanted and you
headed straight towards it with no fear.Somewhere along the way, some said….
· Don’t touch that!
·
Stay away from there.
·
Keep your
hands off that.
·
You must finish that food on your plate.
·
You don’t really want that.
·
You should be ashamed of yourself.
As you got older, you heard …
·
You can’t have everything you want simply
because you want it.
·
Money doesn’t grow on trees
·
Can’t you think of anybody but yourself?
·
Stop being so selfish!
·
Stop doing what you are doing and come do what I
want you to do!
Don’t live someone else’s dream; be bold enough to pursue
yours. Don’t do anything because someone wants it, do it because it’s what you
want. You deserve to have everything in your life exactly the way you want.
MAKE AN I WANT LIST
One of the easiest ways to begin clarifying what you truly want
is what you truly is to make lists of 30 things you want to do, 30 things you
want to have, 30 things you want before you die. This is a great way to get the
ball rolling.
Don’t allow worry about making a living stop you. “Remember don’t commonize your gift, there
is what you have and can do that most people cannot do, focus on that”. Ayo

It is possible to make a living doing what you love. Make a
list of 20 things you love to do and ten think of ways you can make living
doing those things. Two things you must know;
1.
Where you are
2.
Where you are going
Write your vision in details, what your destination looks
like and feels like. Let it include the following areas; Work & Career,
Finances, Recreation & Free time, health & fitness, relationship,
personal gols, & contribution to the larger community. When you are writing
don’t figure how you’ll get there, just figure out where you are going first.
